I’m not gonna sit here and pretend that that was a really good book when the first 55% of it was so insanely boring with so much time spent on extreme detail of Claire and Jamie in the woods. I should have to read 500+ pages for the plot to pick up so I wish Diana would let her editor EDIT! For the first half the book gets 1 star and for the second half when it went faster and a lot was happening it gets 4 stars. I took out a star from the second half because of the extremely unnecessary detailed description of Bree  breastfeeding!!! USE YOUR EDITORS!!!!

I forgot how much the Ian thing bothered me.

Also forgot what a stud Jamie was. Yum.

Not quite as good as the first three, mostly because the entire first half is very "Little House on the Prairie". Still, enough action and intrigue toward the end to make it enjoyable.

Ei yhtä hyvä kuin edellinen! Menevä silti. Tykkäsin eniten Briennan kappaleista.

This one took me quite a bit longer to get through than the other three. I loved that we got to get into the minds of Jamie, Bree, and Roger along with Claire. I am totally smitten with Roger at this point and was in tears during his struggle in this book. I was a bit surprised at the reappearance of Lord John, but so happy. I love the friendship he created with Bree and the understanding he came to with Claire. Overall, another wonderful and intense narrative.

“You are my courage, as I am your conscience," he whispered. "You are my heart---and I your compassion. We are neither of us whole, alone. Do ye not know that, Sassenach?”

I don't care how many times I have said it, but I'm saying this once again; THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAV SERIES! I live for all the adventures, romance, sadness, happiness this series give me.

This one was exceptionally sad and emotional. Overall, I love this book and I love whatever surprises Diana throws at us.
