Фальшивая и глупая книга с полным отсутствием хоть чего-нибудь интересного!!!!!!!
slow-paced
This was supposedly Baum's favorite of the Oz books, and the beginning is surprisingly adult, with Trot and Cap'n Bill trapped underground. There are some genuinely scary moments, and I found myself really liking the main characters. The adventures in Jinxland later in the book were less enjoyable and less realistic, and it wasn't terribly clear why the Scarecrow got top billing in the title, given his limited involvement.
adventurous
lighthearted
I don't know where my original review went, so here's a new one, written a month and a half after reading this and with two other Oz books under our belts since then.
This is one of the better Oz books, perhaps because there's so little of the actual "Oz" in it! The titular Scarecrow doesn't even show up until about two-thirds of the way through the book, though when he does I appreciate that he isn't able to rescue them with no effort; the deux ex machina comes from an entirely different source! I like the relationship between Trot and Cap'n Bill, the Ork is a fun new creature, and the conflict in Jinxland actually provides some tension.

Esta historia fue mucho más entretenida que las últimas que he leído.
Creo que Baum logró recuperar un poco la esencia del inicio de la serie.

This one was okay. It just felt very repetitive, it was very much like the first novel in the series just with slightly different events and different name’s characters. 3.9/5
