I'm currently editing a book about Vienna during WWII, so this was to much like more work right now. I'll try again later.

My first read for 2022. Picked this as my first read for my assignment and because I felt I needed positivity to kick start this year which is off to a rocky start. The title seemed perfect. Plus, its only 130 pages long.
Eleven months after he was liberated from the Nazi concentration camps, Viktor E. Frankl held a series of public lectures in Vienna with the theme of meaning and resilliance (suicide and forced annihilation) which is edited in this book. The book explores on the importance of finding meaning to life which is done through various means: job, relations, challenges. This book is an extension of his theory of logotherapy (treating psychological problem by helping people find meaning in their life) in 'Man's Search for Meaning'.
Although he doesn't clearly states how can one find their purpose in their life he stresses on the importance of finding meaning and joy in the everyday things of life - and in darkest times..
If you are into psychological theories and psychotherapy you might enjoy this one. β€

Another awe-inspiring work by Dr. Frankl that creates a new perspective on the experience of life and its meaning. Psychology classes need to discuss logotherapy and his other works more, as I am continually amazed by his approaches to creating individual meaning.
