While I'm a little salty this couldn't have been a Thursday Murder Club book, I am willing to forgive. It is everything we've come to expect from Mr. Osman: characters you'll adore, twists and turns and surprises, unexpectedly capable senior citizens, helpful and polite criminals, and a story so well written you can't put it down. This book has so many quick and subtle moments of hilarity that will shock you into a laugh. I am glad I was alone in my car listening, because at one point, I literally shouted "YOU BEAUTIFUL CRAFTY B****!!!" Read it, then read it again.

This was a lot of fun, and I'll be looking forward to the next one while catching up on Osman's other prior works. I especially enjoyed the bit on the Irish talk show. A couple of red herrings that I actually thought weakened the book, but overall, it was entertaining and the relationships between Amy and Steve and Amy and Adam were great. All we now need is a relationship between Steve and Adam, which I suspect will develop over time. Hope to see Rosie come back in the future as well. She was a really great pal!
