This is a bit of a tough book to rate. I liked it so much more after I had finished reading it. I almost wanted to read it again. But getting through it often felt like a chore. Especially the first 1/3 which is very light on action. And overall the whole book felt too long. Ultimately I really cared about the characters and wanted to keep reading to see how they fared. I also enjoyed the reverse chronological structure of this book.

Brukt hele høsten på denne som lydbok. Mye lenger tid enn boka egentlig fortjener.

Crossed lives in WWII-era London, pretty good stuff.

Devastating but what's even more devastating is that Sarah Waters hasn't published a new book since 2014 :(((((

The best part of this book was that it would put me to sleep quickly. Truly the lack of anything interesting makes the book a great sleep aid and drink coaster.
