Runyx's Dark Verse has me in a complete Chokehold right now!

I read book the first two books in less than 36 hours, and I'll be honest, this one took me slightly longer.

The Emperor went darker than the other two with me trigger warnings in it, so I had to take a few extra breaks.

Overall, I still love this series and plan on continuing with the next book.

i forgot how much i loved amara and dante. even after two years, i could never forgot them. now bear in mind, i am rating this as a mafia book (which usually aren’t that best plot wise) and their undying love was what stood out to me the most. even though every hardship they went through they remained each other’s constant.

i didnt love it as much as the first two books as i found it a bit harder to connect to the relationship, but i felt for the characters and it was interesting when the plot started to come together

The fact that I didn’t enjoy the most was the fact they started exploring the relationship, although not in a sexual way, when she was 15 and he was 20. That threw me off and their first little somewhat kiss was when she was 17 and he was 23. It just felt a little bit like grooming so that put me off.

Finding out that she was raped when she was kidnapped and tortured at 15 was sickening.

But Amara is badass and we do love Dante, I also enjoyed learning about their past was very interesting. Their story however did feel slightly rushed if I am honest but I enjoyed it.
