I really wanted to like this one more than I actually did. Loved the parts, just not how they were all put together. Pacing is an issue, especially with the 1st half.

I listened to the audible version. I struggled to finish because the narrator pronounced s with a whistle and it was so annoying and distracting. However, the story was good, if a bit too long.
I love Harrow's writing, but struggled with the multiple perspectives. Perhaps I'll come back to this another time when my focus is better for that type of narration.

Took me a while to get into this one, but it picked up toward the end. I liked the themes and perspective on history it was just a bit slow. I prefer her other books over this one
