I loved it but I also didn’t quiiiiiiite like it as much as the others? But I couldn’t even pinpoint why if you asked me. I really enjoyed getting to see all the duskwalkers and their brides together, I also really loved the butterfly scene and everything at the end!
One thing I struggled with was her feelings regarding her infertility. As a child free by choice person her feelings toward it made me a little uncomfortable but it’s all good. The ending really got my goat though I FLEW through it. Maybe I’ll slow down with the next one though. Try and savor my Opal Reyna experience lol.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Well, I didn't expect to spend the entire first chapter of A Soul to Revive sobbing but here we are... I had grown attached to those two goofballs thanks to their appearances in earlier books and to have Aleron so brutally ripped away not just from Ingram and Lindiwe, but from me, was heartwrenching. And then to watch Ingram be captured and tortured just for approaching a demonslayer stronghold in the hopes of getting them to help him destroy the Demon King... It was almost too much.

Then to switch to the heat and burn of his sexual awakening after Emerie rescues him from her own trap and becomes entangled in him.
WHEW! Who knew a Mavka could have a praise kink? I loved watching how patient and caring Emerie was with Ingram, just as I loved watching her recover her confidence under his admiration and love.
Sometimes there is no greater love than to sacrifice yourself for the one you love, and I desperately hope that the entire Duskwalker family didn't have to go through all the shit they did in this book in vain.

Probably the saddest book out of the series.

This almost had me sobbing. This was dangerous, very sad but so very sweet. I'm excited for the next books. I can't wait for everything to come together
