What a perfect blend of spice, action, and suspense! I’m hooked. Rafe is *chef’s kiss* and I’m so hoping for some mixed action next book. Wolf is starting to grow on me but still a D. Kaia is a total bada$$ and I want to be here best friend. The pacing is on point and I couldn’t put it down! I did have the big twist picked out pretty early on but the twist within the twist was perfection. Glad I’m late to the game cause that cliffy is brutal! On to book 2!

Jules Hunter knows how to write suspenseful, steamy military stories. They say revenge can be sweet, but what if someone is out to get revenge against you? Kaia went from a happy childhood to living on the streets after her parents died. Luckily for her her uncle finds her and gives her her life back. Now she runs a company that helps people seek revenge and makes a pretty penny with it. But now someone is out to get revenge against her and her uncle assigns a special forces team to protect her. They may be able to protect her body, but will she be able to protect her heart against them? If you like action, suspense and a lot of steam then check out Deceived by Jules Hunter.

I just finished reading Deceived, and I still can't decide if I like it or not.

Pro:
- It's a reverse harem story with a bratty heroine and 5 swoon worthy alpha males with kinks who all want her.
- Kaia is badass. She created a business by herself based on taking revenge on cheaters and scammers. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to get it.
- Kaia's family dynamics with Vicente, Fi and Lorena are amazing. They love and support each other.

Cons:
- Everything happened so quickly, and I don't mean just the sex. I felt like the story line went so quickly when there were points were it could have been better to slow down and give more insights.
- I felt that Jax and Wolf as characters needed a little bit more development, especially on Jax's background.
- The second part of the book was able to hook me in the story better than the first half.

I'm probably going to read the next book in the series because now I'm curious about what is going to happen to Kaia, Dre, Rafe, Wolf, Kir and Ji-Tae and their relationship.

I kindly received an ARC from the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
