A very good book with examples of universities who have changed their approach to teaching to increase equity among ethnic groups and increase graduation rates.  These are not Ivy League schools but public universities (with the exception of Amherst) who are not overly selective in their student body.  The author argues that states and federal agencies responsible for education have a moral responsibility to insert more accountability into funding models to keep presidents and chancellors from overly emphasizing US News rankings over student success.
