Another biker and librarian hookup story in the South but this one has more diversity and drama than a family reunion gone wild.
It is sweet as sugar and feels guilty pleasury. Like The love story felt far fetched and unbelievable BUT the character development was on point! And it really grabbed me. I finished it in close to one sitting and would absolutely read a sequel (or a prequel about Thuys past life before moving to Green Valley)

Prose Before Bros will hold you captive til the last page! This was a perfect mix of sweet librarian and the bad boy, leaving you breathless in anticipation, reading faster than you can turn the page. It's been a while since a book had me nervous that I wouldn't get a happy ending, so I was reading this every moment I could: at work, in the drive-thru, listening to the horrible Kindle voice while driving - I couldn't put it down! I'm so incredibly blown away by all of the books in the Green Valley Library series. I love revisiting locations and characters previously created by Penny Reid, and this story blew me away. It was my first read by Cathy Yardley and I'm definitely adding her to my must-read list!

This is my favorite one of the series. I love the passion Thuy has for books and the library. It reiterates the importance of libraries in our community and how we should be supporting them since they do so much for us. Drill wasn’t my fav love interest, but Thuy more than made up for it. I’ll definitely be reading more from Cathy Yardley!
Generally, I have been a solid 3 on all the SPR books, but this one gets a 4 because Thuy is the sort of librarian I hope that I get to be.
Probably the best of these green valley books I’ve read. 3.5 stars.
Reasons I liked it... easy to skip sex scenes (you’ve read one you’ve read them all)
No insta love, attraction was instant but love built
No overly descriptive about body parts.
Reasons I didn’t like: do not like mc books. Didn’t suck me in, I had a hard time wanting to finish it

I really liked this book even though I didn't really care for the "hero" that much, which is unusual for me. He's too much of a follower who after years of being a criminal only starts to discover his conscience when it's his own sister being threatened.
As much as I didn't care for Drill, I loved Thuy. She's a badass and the actual hero of the book, and her relationship with Maddy is the best part. 4/5 stars
