I resonate with Frances a lot in the way she seems to bottle everything up, suffer in silence and decide that it would be better not to tell anyone. I don’t think that this was supposed to be the main takeaway from the book, but I really did feel sympathetic, and related to her in a way, like I could make sense of my own emotions through this character.

This book made me wonder if you can really love more than one person romantically, and it’s an interesting thought. In contrast to Normal People, I feel like in the end the miscommunication and misunderstandings got resolved pretty well. These 2 books feel very similar to me yet had intriguingly different vibes.
