Oh grumpy Wilder and sunshine take no shit Iris were so amazing together. The instant chemistry they had made the tension so sweet and when it broke hot damn!

Iris is constantly traveling, I loved how she lived her life for herself and how she helped Wilder start to live again too. I loved the whole progress of this story along with the resolution! They both have things they were needing to get through and it was beautiful how they did it with one another.

Loved this whole series and am a little sad it’s over!

I’ll miss calamity

didn't quite enjoy this book. the instalove just turned me off. surprisingly i was able to finish it but only because i was intrigued to know what happened next. but the unrequited love did break my heart a little bit.

✨ grumpy x sunshine
✨ brothers best friend
✨ age gap
✨ forced proximity

Wilder Abbot loves his solitude, as a high school teacher he’s looking forward to his weekends and summer vacation when his best friend calls about his little sister needing a place to stay for her 2 month stay in Calamity, wilder owes him a favor so he agrees to let Iris stay. Not realizing Iris has grown to be a tattooed bombshell he saw in the grocery store. Now he has to find someone to stay away from her this summer but being in such proximity to his biggest temptation leads these two to crossing lines and becoming more. But Iris has 2 months before she’s on her next great adventure.

As always Devney did not disappoint. Wilder was so grumpy I loved him from the other books and devoured him in this story. He had a sad past that led him to hiding away in Calamity to find a place of peace until Iris bursts into his life full of color and sunshine making his gloomy world brighter and brighter everyday.

I love that most of this book takes place just the two of them. Learning and exploring each other and becoming one another’s peace in the world. Iris is lost and not sure that she has a home or place that is hers when Wilder gives her a soft place to land and a place to discover what she wants next in life.

I love that these two seemingly give each other the safety and calm we all look for in life. They balance each other in the most perfect way. The tension between these two in the beginning was my favorite and I think I cackled every time Wilder had to run away from Iris.
