Really enjoyed this mix of creepy, odd (in a good way) short stories. They reminded me of The Tales of the Unexpected tv show…you probably need to be of a certain age and be from the UK to get the reference…definitely gave me similar vibes.
Really liked the short introduction to each story by the author giving a little background to each, such a great addition.

This is a bone-chilling and macabre debut collection of ten short stories — creepy and perfect for the season.

• End of the Liner: Everyone left alive live on cruise ships that have been traveling for 50 years, never landing on a destroyed Earth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• The Block: Five kids break into a condemned apartment building and some crazy half-human monster are chasing them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• Runaway Blues: The “Fat Man” sings at The Blue Flamingo where you go to drink pink Martinis. He lost his voice then he lost his girl. But, she’s back and will never walk away again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• The Completion: A real estate agent makes the deal of his lifetime … or is it the apocalypse? ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some stories were good and others were not at all to my taste. Character you are fine with seeing die. Most of the characters you kind of hope will die. Most of the male characters were honestly repulsive. The female characters were not much better if at all.
Individually:
End of the Liner - 4.25
The Block - 4
Runaway Blues - 1.5 (I loathed this one, really everything about it. I could only stand to skim it.)
Completion - 1 (A deeply, deeply hatable set of characters and story. HATE it!)
Lion at the Gate - 4
Gloria - 4
I'm Not Ted - 3
Final Course - 3.5
The Copy Shop - 3.75
Dust - 3.75
Butterfly Island -3
