This is another one that suffers from too many words. The concept is excellent, the execution a little dragging.
There are so many little intricate things throughout that I'm not sure how much you could edit down without missing something but it felt REALLY LONG. I stopped and picked this up multiple times as opposed to being so sucked in I couldn't put it down.
A little frustrating as it's not a bad book, but I wanted it to be excellent.

Very fun - I think my favorite part was Lots of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff which is very entertaining.

This is by far the most high-concept mystery I’ve ever read, and probably my the most high-concept mystery I will read. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the fantasy elements heightened the eerie atmosphere and stakes in a very clever way. But it also convoluted the characters and their development—especially Aiden who had to build himself from scratch nearly every day—and made this book tediously long.
However, this book had so much suspense, which is what won me over with it in the end. Turton is literally the king of twists; there were so many, and they were all very unpredictable yet well hinted-at. I may have found some of the build-up to the action dull (especially at the beginning), but the twists made up for it.
