3.5 Stars. In the beginning the book was a little slow and confusing and honestly if I didn't have a "do not dnf if at all possible" policy, I would have not finished it. But I am happy I continued because it got good. The characters are not to be trusted with the reader finding new information as each day goes on. I am new to the thriller/murder mystery genre, so I was stumped and did not guess at all who the killer was. I mean I audibly gasped at work when it was revealed. I think that if you can stick with it, it is a good story with an ending that I don't think most people will guess.
Read this in a day, absolutely incredible!! I have no idea how the author managed to make this plot and all the plot twists work, but he did. There is a lot to keep track of in the book but it is never difficult or too hard to follow to be enjoyable. It is also a lot more spooky and violent than I expected, it gets really dark at times. Nonetheless an amazing read, highly recommend.
