I bought this book on a whim on a book fair. I should try to control my whims, because this was such a bore. I honestly can't understand how people find this book amazing, unable to put it down. The time travel gimmick was fun but eventually became so complicated that I doubt anyone is able to fully chain all the events that take place throughout this repeated day. The characters are all rather unlikable or pitiful. Honestly I won't even waste anymore time thinking about this book because I've already powered through it just to get to an ending that wasn't even satisfying. gawd, the frustration is real.

Interesting concept for a book, but a little exhausting. I like to read to enjoy and maybe learn a thing or two from a book . This book was a puzzle or like playing the game memory and I just kept getting lost. Not a terrible book, just not for me.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I love the concept. I wouldn't say it was poorly executed, but maybe not suited for me- which is strange considering I love murder mysteries. The prose are great, the setting and plot is very intricate, but I don't love the characters. I have a hard time investing when the author purposefully makes the loyalties and integrity of characters ambiguous. This is a highly subjective problem that I have (tangent: this same problem ruined Red Rising for me). I was intrigued enough by the hook to finish the whole book, but it was slow going. If you're not a patient reader or are currently in a reading slump, you should look elsewhere. The true hook for this story doesn't come until about 75 pages in. I think the story is best enjoyed as a binge read, but since I had trouble investing I read it slowly over the course of two weeks (if I'm invested a book this length would take me no longer than 3 days). I'm glad I read it, and I was satisfied with the ending, but it wasn't cathartic.
Overall, a very well written book with a great premise that unfortunately wasn't my cup of tea.

Absolutely loved the middle section I literally could not stop reading. The end was kinda eh though for me, not bad just fine. Trying to piece together wtf is happening is just *chefs kiss* and you get most of the information you need to solve it. Figuring out the hosts was more interesting than solving the actual mystery to me.

The only thing I didn't like was the reveal about Anna. I felt like it didn't quite fit for some reason. It made me feel less attached to her.
