“DO THEY
PLACE THAT MUCH VALUE...
IN PUTTING
DOWN A STRAY
NINJA?”
“NO.
IT'S MY NAME
THAT HAS VALUE. “
This volume hurt to finish, and this was one of the best volumes of manga that I have read thus far. The continuing friendship and camaraderie of Tamiya and Asaemon Fuchi was the driving force behind this volume, and while the previous death shown with Yuzuriha shocked me (don’t worry, she comes back and saves Mei and Sagiri) Fuchi’s death broke me and I cried on the final page of this volume. Seeing the battles between all the Asaemon who have kindled relationships with their convicts and the new Asaemon who only see the world in black and white was such great contrast, and Asaemon Shugen is a horrifying villain. I loved the revelation of Gabimaru the Hollow being a title and not a name, and Shija coming to claim the title by killing Gabimaru. A great volume that I can’t forget, and I can’t wait to see how the last few volumes play out.

Give a little more history on the characters, but ends in loosing a good one.

I… I didn’t expect anything; but the dialogues and monologues were just to the heart. Words so powerful they almost resonate. It’s the end we are at the end; only 3 volumes left. All lives are aligned, all at fate’s hand. They either win this and continue to exist or they perish. God I’m so scared I’m so so scared. ITS THESE TIMES WHEN CHARACTERS START FALLING DEAD AT A HIGH RATE IM SO TERRIFIED PLEASE.
