- why the FCK did he not wonder why pascha was in her office so late??????? It’s little things like that that are weird in this series. It just doesn’t make sense when something happens and you expect a character to follow up on it but it’s just ignored
- I can’t believe she just got drunk and embarrassed herself like that at the gala…. Why wasn’t this a revenge moment????? Why was this a let’s embarrass myself moment instead?????
- I hate the daddy stuff…
- the fact that she’s missing and he’s doing nothing about it?? Like it get it, you think she betrayed you but don’t you want to know where she is??? You still love her? Betrayal and concern are not mutually exclusive????
- meh. The way he handled it at the end was dumb but not bad.

I had been dying to read Hades and Elsa's story since book 1 and boy did this not disappoint. The tension between them was like jumping into a fire but in a good way.
Hades has the reputation of being with a lot of women but never for more than one night, while Elsa is the cold, uptight lawyer and the Greek Mafia is one of her unofficial, official clients. Hades and Elsa are complete opposites who make it known that they despise one another until one night they fall into bed together changing everything.
Everything in this book was unbelievably good, the spice, the banter between Elsa and Hades, and the angst, it all had me begging for more. Hades was the definition of the misunderstood villain, which I am always a sucker for.
However, the ending of the book felt like it was missing something. The climax portion of the book felt as if it was just skipped over along with some things that happened at the end came out of nowhere, that didn't really match up with the plot.
overall, this book was so good, and if you love an unhinged mafia man I definitely suggest this book.

Wow. Just wow. This book was AMAZING!! I was lucky enough to have the chance to read the arc and I couldn’t put it down. The character development of Hades is probably one of my favorite, like ever. The banter and sexual tension between Elsa and Hades is so consuming you think about it even when you aren’t reading. There is talk of SA, but it helps explain that character (don’t want to give spoilers on who) in a much different light. It explains why the character is the way they are and it leaves you feeling a different way about that character. I honestly cannot wait to read more by Jagger Cole, this was my first by him. This is a standalone book that is going to make you want to continue learning about all the characters. After this I am most definitely going backwards to read the other two books!!
Elsa and Hades are now on my favorite romance couples list. I honestly love this book and think that if you like dark romance and mafia books you need to run to preorder this book.

I really liked Elsa, she worked so hard and accomplished so much so young while raising her sister and dealing with her crazy father and didn’t back down. Even when she was scared she had a backbone and fought back and was the perfect “opposite” for Hades!
Hades is a typical playboy but he doesn’t seem to like that reputation which isn’t the direction I thought it would go tbh but it was interesting. I really liked reading his POV and him dealing with his annoyance with Elsa but also being attracted to her and then having those feelings grow.
Hades and Elsa were like oil and water at first but after their spicy chance encounter even though the attraction was still there, it took some time for them to open up to each other and realizing they’re more similar than they thought and of course the spice was great lol
I loved that we got past characters and their banter and it didn’t take away from Hades and Elsa’s romance but just added some humour and insight.
I really like this authors writing style. The pacing is great, always top tier banter and I love the twists!
