After some thought I’m dropping my rating my a 5 to 4.5. The ending felt a little rushed to me. I felt like the author had a bunch of loose ends and maybe didn’t know how to tie them up, but overall I really loved this story.

I had tried this author before and not realising that it was the same author I read this book.
Even if 3 years have passed (and I have heard later on that this author has grown) I have the same opinion: readable but not a very good book. It's very tropey, I don't care for the couple and the characters don't feel real to me.
An over the top contemporary with mafia elements.
I wouldn't say that the writer is bad but I wouldn't recommend his books either. As a serious dnfer I can attest that it didn't bore me and even if I didn't like some aspects of it it was entertaining enough (if very tropey). The action part near the end was fun
I know that we all have read and liked books with sex clubs but I feel like it's an overused scenario and that the authors that use it lately use it only as a prop at the beginning of the book.
There is a hint of him being domineering and in one scene she calls him daddy.
The fact that she's a virgin is remarked on by men way too much.
I appreciated how much family plays an important role in the story
Their sexting was fun and hot.
A lot of past or threat of sexual assault.
Also: the characters kept saying "I 'm not gay" and it slightly bothered me. But there is a marginal character who is queer and nice so not the worst rep.

Jagger Cole has written one thrill ride of a book! After Hades Drakos and Elsa Guin have anonymous s•x at Club Venom, and he finds out it’s her, he becomes quite obsessed. Elsa, straightlaced lawyer, is harboring a huge secret that could destroy Hades’ family. When a war starts between the Greeks and the Russians, Hades believes Elsa may have been feeding intelligence to the Russians, but there’s an even more sinister force at work.
I love the characters in this book so much. Cole writes such detailed, individual characters who all become part of the plot in some way. Both Hades and Elsa are strong characters with fascinating backgrounds. Learning of Hades’ experiences as a boy at the hand of his older brother is heartbreaking but allows us a peek inside his mind as to why he’s such a player who’s never committed to any woman. The plot is fast-paced and compelling right up to the end. We get an even better understanding of the different mafia families and their motivations.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sinful Hearts if you love a great mafia romance. Read it and let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss!

jagger cole does not disappoint and i am fully INVESTED in this series! i’ve said it in my other reviews, but why is the third act conflict in every single dark hearts book KIDNAPPING???? it’s getting a lil old
loved hades and elsa and their tension / banter was great. the story did move a little fast for me and i wish there was a little more *fluff* before we got to the action but that’s really my only complaint. can’t wait for book 4!
