Sometimes a reader is afraid to read more in a series when book one was fabulous as you never know if the second book in the series will live up to their expectations......I can honestly say that in this series that is NOT the case. Kenzi and Brett's story was even better. A.K. MacBride knocks this one out of the park. A beautiful love story, characters you cannot help but fall in love with and every page dripping with emotion. This is a series I am going to read again and again.

I really enjoyed Wrecked. I like AK MacBride's writing (yay to finding a new author!!). And I absolutely loved Brett! I really loved how devoted he was. And I really liked Kensie. I had some trouble understanding how Brett was able to forgive Kensie so quickly (honestly, I don't think that I could have done that), but I did think that these two belonged together.

I can't wait to read the next book in the Willow Creek series- Ruined (Eli and Zoe's story)!!

Wrecked is the second book in the Willow Creek series, but can be read as a standalone. Wrecked begins with small-town sweethearts Kenzie and Brett caught in a moment that will change their lives forever. We catch up with them 12 years later, as Kenzie is running from her present and runs smack dab into her past! A broken down vehicle lands her right back into Willow Creek, and face to face with Brett Carter.

I’m a sucker for charming small towns and an even bigger sucker for poignant second chance romances, and if that romance is a slow-burn, turn on the coffee because we are going to be here awhile! This page-turning romance is perfect to curl up with on a dreary, rainy day as the author meticulously weaves modern day with the wreckage of Kenzie and Brett’s past. There’s so much anger, sadness, and vulnerability between these two, but underneath all that, a tiny ember that is just waiting to catch fire again.

This is truly a second chance romance at it's best. I totally lost my heart in the reading process. I love Brett, I feel like he's misunderstood to the extent that he is losing himself. Despite his drive, his fight, and sacrifice, he's just not what Kenzie or her parents want. If I had a glass vase nearby, it probably would have been broken from all the frustrated pillow tossing I did. No joke. My brother is my witness.

I have not read a single book from A.K. MacBride before now. Honestly, why didn't I know about this author sooner? Wrecked . . . If you're a fan of Mia Kayla's TORN Duet, then I highly recommend this book to you. Yes, they are completely different, but the page-turning and beautifully frustrating plot reminded me of that duet, and that why I say this.

I was graciously sent an ARC of this book, via Enticing Journey Book Promotions, in my participation for a blog tour. This is my honest and voluntary review.

3.5 stars A sweet country romance. This story was filled with unnecessary angst. I’m so tired of this. Why can’t these characters just stop and talk to each other. 12 years just wasted over misunderstandings. I feel bad for poor Dean. The most interesting thing was the instigating factors. The heroine was so in the wrong. The sheriff did nothing about Lola. I loved the secondary characters. Logan, Harper, And the cutest kid Finn. I haven’t read the prior books, wish I had.

OMG! What an emotion roller coaster of emotions. This is a second chance romance that will pull you in from the beginning. This is one of those books that you feel what the characters are feeling, and I love it when a story pulls me in like that.

This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. This book revolves around Kenzie and Brett. Their love story is not an easy one, but is one that is worth fighting for. Question is so they think and feel that way?! There is so much hurt, pain, and betrayal that needs to be worked through. You will be on the edge of your seat flipping through the pages, because you are gonna want to know what happens.
