I rarely change my ratings, but seeing as I'm still thinking about this book, bumping this to its deserved one.

oh josh. you had me at “hot-nerd doctor” but sealed the deal at “I was in the neighborhood; I heard you wanted brioche.” (IYKYK)

For starters, thank you to @thelastchapterbookshop for introducing this book to me with the Summer Lovin’ Romance Trope book box! I absolutely loved The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. I also enjoyed the rare break from my kindle to annotate a paperback book!

A bucket list trip for me is Hawaii to see all of the national parks there and I definitely wrote down the couple of hikes that Josh and Drew went on during their trip in Hawaii.

Drew’s career is spiraling and she decides to take her ex boyfriend up on a two week trip to Hawaii unfortunately it includes his family, mainly his obnoxious older brother, Josh. But when Drew’s ex doesn’t show up, she and Josh become less enemies and more friends. They have little in common but they see each others value in a way that no one else does. They were a dysfunctional pair but perfect for each other. I look forward to reading the rest of this series!

I loved almost everything about this book. I loved how supportive he was, and how he really encouraged her to be more who she wanted to be. I just do not personally like when the FMC dates someone from her exes family.
