All I have to say is get you a man that flies to your place just to get you brioche.
This author is quickly becoming a favourite for when I want a snarky, sassy, funny read and I'm so glad I found her. If you've read A Deal With the Devil then some of the characters will be familiar even though this is in no way a sequel. Drew ends up going on holiday with her ex, only to find out the he's not there but his family is. I loved the interaction between Drew and Joshua, how each of them have their own incorrect beliefs about what the other is and are unwilling to give each other a chance. Drew's funny and snarky and sassy and unwilling to allow Joshua to make her the bad guy. Joshua is uptight, self-righteous and unwilling to allow Drew's comments to change his mind. What they each don't realise is how much they are hiding from each other. I'm surprised at how little the boyfriend/brother was involved in the story which, given his unpleasantness, is a good thing, but he does provide pivotal points for the story. I loved how Joshua's instinct right from the start was to protect Drew, even when he didn't like her and she didn't want it. I love how they both came to see each other. What I didn't like was just the self-absorption that Drew displayed at times, especially in relation to Joshua's work. I was also disappointed in the ending. Without giving anything away, I wanted more of an update on what was happening with Drew's professional life. So much of the second half of the story was spent on this that it was just glossed over at the end.
Ex boyfriends hot older brother. Yes please! I literally loved how quickly Drew and Josh fell in love even though they had feelings for each other when they first met. I thought the plot was really good and the story was well written. Overall, I think this was a great way to start the November TBR!
cute. just cute. i am in love with this authors ability to write true bickering enemies. i don't love the misogyny and the hell of a lot of my struggle is bigger than your struggle awards but they are just too sweet to not read
Listen, falling in love with your boyfriends brother WHILE you’re on vacation with the two of them is probably not the best way to fall in love. But love is love and all that so I don’t give a shit.
Not as good as Book 1 but still oh so good. And thank god this one was dual pov. That’s the one thing that was missing from the first book. I neeeeed to know what the mmc is thinking. I also really enjoyed that the female was the rock star vs the typical male rock star and the “nobody” female.
I am really loving this series. Can’t wait for book 3!!!

4.5 ⭐️ I loved finding out the fate of Drew’s love life! Her and Six were toxic from the start, but she doesn’t know she deserves more. Josh just wants to get through a vacation with his brother and family and keep away from Drew. But the truth is, maybe she’s been with the wrong brother all along. Josh proves his love through all of his actions and it couldn’t be more clear how much he truly cares. It takes them a while to get there, but when they finally choose each other it’s perfect!
