Elisabeth O'Roark has been the most pleasant revelation to me! I devoured all three Devil books in less than a week and not exactly in order ( #3, #1, #2) and I can't really decide which one is my favorite. They've all made me swoon, laugh and cry.
So as much as it feels like choosing my favorite child I think Drew and Josh's story takes a slightly bigger piece of my heart because it made me cry the hardest. These characters felt so real and well-developed I couldn't put the book down.
If there's anything I can criticize it's perhaps the covers of this series. I think the pics of generic handsome men misrepresent the novels in a way? It definitely made me expect less from this series when I first started it.

Slow burn- they don't get together until after the 50% mark. Liked them together but subpar smut scenes compared to the last book
the miscommunication trope i’m gonna end your life. otherwise, enjoy this WAYYYYYY more than i expected.

this was fine. I like the banter between the two main characters and how their relationship played out. it wasn't anything special and I thought there could be more backstory with them.

my love language is quiet display of affection, and Dr. Josh is fluent in it. I mean, he got up eveeeery morning at 5am while they were on vacation just to make sure that she wouldn't have to run alone, he stayed up all night in Somalia (and during their hike)just to make sure that she was safe, aaah the man took a flight all the way to Paris to get her a fucking Brioche!!
He made it his mission to protect her and make her feel safe (and seen) always, and this qualifies him as book bf material.
The writing was fast-paced, loved it.
