Whewww, this one broke my heart. It’s such a real and frustrating look at how Black and Brown girls are so often overlooked when they go missing. Constantly failed by a system that wasn’t designed for us. I cried more than once during this book.

The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is because the timeline shifts got a little confusing at times, but overall it was so impactful.

I’ve been stuck on this book from start to finish

This story broke my heart and made me so emotional and it’s an amazing read I can’t wait to read more of Tiffany’s books.

this book was genuinely so full of twists and turns??? i can normally predict the ending of a mystery but this one really kept me thinking and i kept getting more shocked with the turn of every page. Jackson’s writing truly gives the impression of middle school girls, and added sense of realism to the dialogue. There were also a few lighthearted moments peppered around that, in context with the reveal of the end, made a lot of sense to add in.
