But after weeks of thought I will have to give this 5 pure mess, chaos and entertainment stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Please understand, I am not proud of myself. But I cannot deny how much of a good time this shit show was.

I’ll start by saying if you are interested in reading this book, read the triggers in the begging. This book is not for everyone.
I personally loved this book! It’s been hard lately to find books with as much intensity as this one has. A story that will suck you in and want to just enjoy the ride and see what happens next. I personally never wanted it to end.
This is the story of Zoey and Carter. Zoey gets notice by jake a player on the school football team, and is groped. She reports it to the school… but in a town where the football team is royalty, no one believes her, or cares.
If you think Carter is going to swoop in and save the day, he’s not. He’s intense and Animalistic when you first meet him, there is no warmth in his eyes. As the story unfolds there is so much growth with Carter, he does step up, but he never strays from who he truly is underneath it all. I found myself really feeling for him, he has been through something terrible.
Zoey, I loved her! She’s not your typical doormat heroine you may see in a book like this. She’s strong, pushes back, and doesn’t back down from what she thinks is right. I loved seeing the growth she had as well, the kindness and understanding she had for Carter, the way she is the only one who is able to get close to him.
This story was technically Non Con, but there were so much growth and sweet and amazing moments between the characters. If you go into it with an ope. Mind I feel like you will fall in love with the characters like I did.
Sam Mariano takes you on a journey, where you do have some questions, but what I loved about her writing was, she knew the parts the readers would have questions about and answered all of them. She didn’t leave any loose ends.
I definitely recommend this book, the love and connection, and intensity between these characters is something you rarely find.

it’s definitely well written and i want to read the author’s other works..i wish the warning told me he would SA her.. usually i never read SA but the author does a good job of making you wonder how their relationship turns into something romantic and enjoyable
the only thing that really bothered me was i wish carter actually suffered when they broke up and we got to see him groveling to get her back..instead she basically just puts up with his manipulations and it was pretty wack

First off, let's start with this: This book will NOT be everyone's cup of tea. I strongly advise reading the trigger warnings and running if you can't handle it. This is most definitely a bully romance with romanticized moments of abuse and heavy manipulation.

We watch their unconventional beginning and the push and pull over warring emotions to stay or go. Albeit, her internal push and pull did become so tedious and annoying to me at times. It's important to remember that Carter is not the hero here, but he sure wins her heart anyway.

Too long, too repetitive, too slow and after a while, the fmc's internal dialogue become very very annoying.

Hm. More like 2.75 stars or something. Expected both less and more of this book haha. Dark romances are very hit and miss for me and this managed to be a mix of the two, for once. Loved how open the couple communicated with each other (wasn't expecting it in a bully romance), liked their banter and toxic chaos (even if I would hate it in real life). Didn't like how the MMC talked about sex and "his urges" when he's horny like he can't just masturbate instead of having sex with other women. Would hate Carter and his group in real life, but it's fiction, dark romance at that, so --
