red flag alert
This book is absolutely captivating. Although the MMC is a complete book of walking red flags. He’s unapologetic and she’s accepting. They are toxic but it’s fictional romance and not self help.

amazing read
It’s a very tiny sheen read a first for this author for me and I’m really impressed with it I love the banter back-and-forth between Carter and his lady this was a must-read heads up awesome read some thing I would definitely re-read again and I just have no words for this book because it’s just still leaves me speechless on how intense and wild and crazy that it has been

High school bully romance
This is a high school bully romance which starts off very dark, with the MMC crossing some lines that many readers may find difficult to come to terms with. Having shocked us with the opening chapters, the author then balances the scales with a strong and resilient FMC who refuses to break under pressure.
I mostly enjoyed this story. There are some romantic and sexy highs along the way. It lost a star from me because, ironically, it lacked the angst one usually associates with a bully romance. After the initial shocking bully scene, Carter spends the rest of the book relentlessly pursuing Zoey, who frankly doesn't put up much resistance to his advances. All too quickly, they are a couple, and in order to maintain the dramatic tension, the author throws in the stereotypical jealous ex-girlfriend trope to create the third act break-up.
Also, despite being obviously portrayed as a strong character, Zoey has an irritating tendency to get into situations where her personal safety is at risk - you'd think she would have learned her lesson about staying safe after what happens at the start of the book!
