"I am Mary Iris Malone and I am not okay." This story was such a different one but a very good one. It was full of quirky characters that really jumped out of the pages. Mim was a character who didn't sugarcoat. I loved that she was a character who wasn't perfect. I loved her letters to Iz. I loved the idea of her war paint. And usual responses to things. Like not solid goodbyes.

I've always been a big fan of roadtrip books. They bring about so much of the quirky characters, new and interesting places and a boat load of fun.

Surprisingly delightful tale of a teen wrestling with changes in her life and shadows from her past. Not quite a total cryfest but definitely on the cusp.

I would have given this a lot more stars if I didn't want to shake Mim so much. I'm just not a fan of reading super angsty people.

This is book doesn't deserve 5 stars and some review. This book deserves the sun, the moon, planet Earth and my heart, which, well...It already has. I didn't just love this book. I lived it. I felt like I was part of every single chapter, phrase and word. This book changed me in ways I didn't think I was able to change. And I promise to tell people about this book next to all my favourite books because I will never forget the hole this book has in my soul. Basically this book was hands down phenomenal. And I'll miss reading it so so much. :"))

Leuk, leest makkelijk, maar erg voorspelbaar.

This audiobook was spectacular! I think it's the only way to truly hear Mim's voice. I think this has replaced Abundance of Katherines as my favorite YA road trip novel.
Definitely for older YAs/mature readers.
