I thought this was a standalone novel but from the ending I’m sure there will be another one (there better be anyway). Vasalie and her story was interesting. she was likeable and a good FMC. Loved all the political intrigue, spy games and trying to figure out who was doing what. Anton (who I think will be the MMC) was great and had great banter with Vasalie but will see what the future holds for him after that ending. Not really fan of the whole amnesia trope but still looking forward to reading more to find out what happens.

Not bad for a romantasy debut. Didn’t care much for the fmc, so all three stars for my guy Anton who was doing the most

This is one of the best debut romantasy books I've ever read. I really enjoyed the plot, and the growth that the Vasalie had. This book's theme is that there is always a choice even when it's all bad. She is also one of the true morally gray FMC's I've read in a while. She made certain choices to ultimately try and save herself.

The world building and the tale that is told in this novel is super interesting. They all weaved together beautifully.

The writing in this novel is extremely beautiful, enabling the reader to perfectly picture the performances and dances that take place in the novel.

This wasn’t the best written book ever but 5 stars because I was enraptured. I loved all the lies and the world building was excellent. And now I cannot wait for another one.
