3.5 I really liked it and I found myself surprised by the turn of events quite a few times. As far as the characters go, I love how grey and strong they are, each in their own way. Also, I’m not a fan of love triangles but it’s done really well in this book that I didn’t mind it. In fact, it felt natural and realistic all around. However, I find it hard to reconcile what happened in the third trial with the last. If there was more getting to know each other prior to the fourth trial, it would have given firmer grounds as to what followed. With that said I’m completely engrossed in the story and I can’t wait to continue on and find out what happens next.

Thai book kept me on the very edge of my seat at all times, and did not disappoint!
The setting, the characters, the plot twists, everything was just tied perfectly together and love that the two main characters are not hopelessly in love even at the end of the book!
Each character was beautifully crafted, (even though I hate Marcus and keris with a passion) and love laia and Elias!
I cannot wait to keep reading this series!
