I wasnt sure of this book when I picked it up, but boy was it amazing. The characters were so real, just like everyday people you would meet on the street. The struggles they deal with are everyday struggles. Am I doing the right thing? Am I a monster? What will happen to my soul? This was such a brutal book, but in a way, that's what made it beautiful. It was real. There was no pretending to be anything else. There was no sugar coating anything. They lived hard lives on both sides and until they collided, they couldn't understand how similar their worlds were. I also loved that there is a bigger evil at play and I cant wait to find out more about that storyline. Oh and who Cook is. I have my suspicions! What a ride.
