I will be rereading and will do a review then.

Further historical fictions, Laura never really shows any emotion for Almanzo, so the romance aspect isn't particularly good either. The pantry is fantastic though.

love stopped being real when it was no longer acceptable to just go driving with your beau and they one day just ask if you want to be engaged and then they build a whole house and you and simply elegant and put together. they didn’t even hold hands until he proposed. bring that back.

I LOVED THE ROMANCE IN THIS BOOK!! I know that the age gap is pretty controversial but in that time it really wasn’t a big deal. But this is just an amazing book, and I wish I had a boy like Almanzo in my life!!!

This book was so great! I loved watching Almanzo and Laura fall in love, even though it was a bit stilted (to my modern sensibilities). Laura is a schoolteacher and being courted, and Mary finally returns. Another superfun read, but I definitely recommend reading the series first.
