I mostly skimmed, but this would be a great resource for someone who had never seen calligraphy before. They only talk about illumination for the last few pages, but it seems sufficient. This book has GREAT pictures and very detailed instructions. I also appreciate the spiral binding.

Started calligraphy recently. I was looking for the more traditional calligraphy, but I couldn't really find anything on that online. Until I remembered that I had bought this book years ago. It's so easy and clear what you have to do, and the calligraphy styles described are gorgeous. Glad 15-year-old me was smart enough to buy this book.
