I wanted to love this book so much!!

The concept here is so strong and helped create some really strong, emotional moments throughout the plot.
My personal issue with this book was the pacing, I felt that the author moved very slowly through the story and there was a lot of space to perhaps explore the world building further?
The protagonist also felt very passive and I sometimes found it hard to fully invest myself in her story.

I definitely didn't hate this book and found the story to be very moving, but, it did take me a while to get through this book for the reasons above. Therefore, The Other Valley receives a strong 3.5 stars from me!
