Like a slow burn thriller. At times the writing was a bit slow but probably because I so keen for the next plot twist.

I really loved this book— I drank it down fast and came up feeling a little woozy, which is one of my favorite ways to feel after moving a book from my want-to-read list to my read list. much of what I have to say will only be parroting what other reviewers have said: it is a relatively simple, beautiful story of free will and desire and autonomy. I loved getting the mysticism of time travel without all the confusion and frills of extra magic— for all the mind-bending nuance of these characters’ interplay, the premise remains attainable. I’m always a sucker for stories of girlhood and its specific brand of becoming, so I was destined to like this book. It’s worth the read!
