Sad how current so much of this feels, including the Comstock laws. Probably didn’t add all that much to the interviews that the author gave for this book, but she does write in an engaging and entertaining manner about this unfortunately evergreen subject.

A riveting biography. I loved this from start to finish. It’s yet another reminder that women have been fighting these same battles for centuries, as societies go through cyclical patterns of women’s sexual liberation and backlash for it. The epilogue I found especially moving.
