when I realised this was the same premise as Kind Hearts and Coronets (or A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, if you're more theatre than movie) I thought I knew how the book would end. Turns out, I did not. Honeslty, I'm a little annoyed at the ending, but I get why it ended that way.

The timeline is so confusing (and you don't even realise until about halfway through)? pretty good but
I hated the ending and Harry seemed like an incredible jackass. runs in the family though ig and I appreciated the familial similarities between Simon, Harry and Grace.

An easy read with an interesting premise. However the conclusion to the book felt a little rushed and a bit cheap.

Grace is out for revenge against her father and his family we follow as she attempts to make her father suffer. Very long chapters and slow in places.

If I hadn’t been listening to the audio book I doubt I would’ve finished this. I found Grace incredibly annoying and narcissistic, bordering on sociopathic. The book was branded as funny but I couldn’t find any humour in it, it was mostly cruel jibes towards fat people and those with eating disorders. Heavy content warning for fatphobia and body shaming. I don’t usually pick up popular contemporary novels but it was May’s choice for book club.

The murders are interesting.
The twist at the end came out of nowhere.
