DNF'ed at chapter 14. I just could not get into the story of the second book like I did the first book.

Really enjoyed the continuation of this story and was super intrigued by the idea of introducing a new member to an already established relationship dynamic.

I didn’t love what happened with Gabriel’s character, but he’s young, so I guess I can forgive him and his actions in the book.

Loved the movie night scene

Holy crap!!! Four was so fricken hot, but Five takes the damn cake!!! Those men do evil things, but they worship Iris!!!

Ahhh! I can’t believe we got multiple POVs from this one! It made character development a lot stronger and gave everyone a voice and personality that shone more.

Such a great follow up to Four by these two ladies (Sara Cate & Rachel Leigh).

I love the play on the titles. I don’t know why I didn’t see it before. But going from Four to Five, we get a new addition to the Harem.

I do wish there was more to the plot and story line. I feel like it was incredibly spicy (not that that is a bad thing) but could have used more story weaved into the spice.

love this series

I absolutely loved this series. I love Iris and the interactions with Silas, Baron, Gabriel and Quentin. Love the banter between the boys. The series was a great amount of dark paired with some lightness. Would love a 3rd book to see what happens next.

“Our love is not divided, it’s multiplied”

Holy hotness! This one is for all you RH, taboo, super spicy, dirty romance lovers out there!! In book one, Iris and her boys became Four, this is how they become Five. Not for the faint of heart, this family of trained, professional assassins doesn’t do anything by half. Torture, k!ll, f*çk, it’s every bit intense, mind blowing, and earth shattering. When one of their family disappears during a job, the others stop at nothing to get them back. And when they come out the other end, nothing is ever the same again. The spice starts quickly, and never lets up. The passion is evident in everything, intense and all consuming, and the love is powerful. The dynamic between them works so well, even with little bouts of possessiveness and jealously. I devoured this book, and thoroughly enjoyed the ride!

I was absolutely flippity-freaking-thrilled when I found out Sara and Rachel were writing a sequel to the very first (and still one of my absolutely favorite) reverse-harem novels, “Four”. For the longest time, I think most of us had thought “Four” would stay as a standalone, and we were okay with that because Sara and Rachel both consistently put out quality material, but to hear they were going to give us a sequel? That was so exciting I pre-ordered it the day it was announced.

So, as you can expect, I had very high expectations for this book. Did it meet them? Heck yes it did! It not only met them–it exceeded them. It took everything I loved about “Four” and elevated it. It took it higher. Iris was fiercer, Silas was more protective, Baron was more passionate, and Gabriel was… well, more Gabriel (and I just when I thought I couldn’t love my sweet little torture bunny more). And then, well… I won’t spoil that for you.

There was the perfect amount of angst for me: not so much I felt like it was dragging the book into the ground and not so little I felt like the characters were taking the situation too lightly. The characters themselves were consistently carried over from the first book as necessary and new characters were well fleshed-out and extremely well-written. The plot was nicely woven into the plot from the first book and carried out to its conclusion in this book, and it ended on the perfect note.

Thank you, Sara and Rachel, for an incredible duology. Thank you for these characters and thank you for the love and time you put into them. I know I will miss them (but thank goodness I have the books for the memories)!

Well, even though the first book was a miss for me, I'm too nosy and have to know how the next book went. And man, I was really disappointed.

First, there isn't really anything likeable about the female main character. Iris is flat out obnoxious. I thought she was gonna be trained to be this amazing assassin but literally between both books all she ever does is get captured and the men have to save her. Which would be fine except she is constantly talking about all her training and how proud the guys are of her, but for what? She literally never has a successful mission that we see and she is always running off and fucking things up and then the guys have to save her.

Also, while I absolutely loved the character Quinton, why are we bringing in ANOTHER guy when Gabriel obviously still isn't ok with sharing Iris? Makes zero sense. And then by the end of the book he just magically is ok with sharing her now, and adding another? I feel like there was no clear conversation or talks that explained why Gabriel was all of a sudden ok, all that was said was he wants Iris to be happy. What about his happiness and his feelings?

And lastly I feel like the fight with the cartel was just made to be this big battle, difficult and things constantly went wrong with them. But then it magically was taken care of and fixed within like a chapter. A lot of buildup for a very boring conclusion.

The book gets two stars for spice and for Quinton. The spice got better this book. And I really loved Quinton's character.

Just like Four, Five is non-stop action from the get go! I loved Four and the dynamic of Silas, Gabriel and Baron and was super curious when I heard they were adding another harem member for Five.

The Black Family is a family of assassins that are very good at their jobs. When one of them gets compromised during an assignment, Iris will do whatever it takes to save them.

The steam in this book is

Just when you think a story can’t get any better, Sara Cate & Rachel Leigh prove you wrong! We know all of these characters from their book Four, and I’m so glad we get to spend more time with them!

As we jump back into the Black family, everything is what we are used to, Silas wants control, Baron is brooding, Gabriel is fighting for recognition and Iris is there to love them with everything thing she has.

This story literally has EVERYTHING! There is so much action in and out of the bedroom, there is connection and emotion AND THERE IS A PLOT!! I mean what more could you ask for?

There is a trigger warning for those of you who need it, but if you read Four (which you all NEED to) then you won’t be shocked by anything in Five. This is a hot and steamy story of an unconventional family, and it’s worth every minute!!
