Woah!!

I loved Four and it ended wrapped up so nicely that I was super curious to see where this story would go. And WOW!! I didn't think it was possible for this story to get better or for me to love it even more but it did and I do! Beautiful ending and now I want even more!

Really Great Read

This was such an action packed steamy RH mafia assassins type read. It's highly recommended that you read Four first to see how Iris ended up in the Black home. However it can also be read by itself I think. I wouldn't recommend that though.

At first I was against the whole cousin thing, but about 70% into the book I was all for it. I do however wish that the ending epilogue would have had a bit more to it. One of her men mentioned something and I would have liked to see that play out. (PLEASE AUTHOR WRITE AN EXTENSION TO EPILOGUE OR SHORT STORY ON IT OR SOMETHING)

Also I'd like to mention that towards the end, the names Silas and Baron get mixed up when she is trying to convince Baron to be on board with a certain house guest. Other than that well written and highly recommend.

This was a great ending to the duet. The plot twists were minimal but they had my jaw dropping. I was crying, laughing, shocked, and all of the emotions you could think of. The characters and their chemistry with each other is a beautiful thing. I now know why the second book was called "Five" and I love it. Quentin was a great addition to the group of four and I love how much he cares for Iris. All the characters care for each other in their own way and I loved taking this journey with them.

I surprisingly enjoyed this one more than book one!

Personally, I feel like the two books weren't connected much, and it wouldn't have been hard to read book two without reading book one. Overall, I enjoyed this storyline and seeing the characters apart. In book one, the relationships seemed more for convenience, but seeing how they developed while they were apart was interesting.

We were also introduced to a new guy, Quintin and I actually liked him more than the guys we were introduced to in book one. He was honestly the reason why I enjoyed book two more.

Overall, I felt the pacing was better in this book and the storyline was more interesting to me.

I may have missed something, but it wasn’t quite clear at first that Five takes place two years after the events of Four making it more of a sequel that has to introduce its own conflict than a continuation of the previous storylines. Personally, I felt that Four stood on its own well enough and didn’t need this additonal story or the addition of male POV chapters. I’m not sure if I’m the right reader for this book, but it definitively entertained me.

Narration: The female narrator from Four returns and she is still perfectly cast. There’s also the addition of a male narrator for the male POV chapters, but his voice for the heroine was a bit annoying.

Thanks to the author for my copy of the audiobook to review.
