DNF. I switched to another book but left this one in the reader to finish at a later date. Never found any motivation to pick it up again.
I thought it would be weird presenting logic with supernaturals. It wasn't too bad, there were a bit of questionable instances. I do like that they brought a bit more of Dr. Watson's character out for others to see. I don't think anywhere else, it was explained why Sherlock kept Dr. Watson around. I appreciate their relationship a bit more now after reading this story.
This has a decent amount of action, but the mystery isn't great. Klaver takes a ton of liberties with both stories, and honestly, it's not that interesting. What even was the point of the Innsmouth section? If you've never read some of these or are really hyped to see these stories mix, this book might work for you, but it gets too bogged down in vampire rules and references to be that fun or interesting. It really needed more Dracula and Mina. Like, a lot more. The idea is sound: a collection of cases that build into one big case. Watson is competent, which is more than I can say many Sherlock adaptations. Mina is pretty great, which is more than I can say for many Dracula adaptations. It's just a shame several of the other characters are treated like trash. Also, that end reveal is complete crap. Like, it's the most obvious play, and that's what made me rate this lower. The last half is so tedious.

Reading it was so much fun! It deserves a higher rating on here.
I’m not really familiar with the original Sherlock Holmes books so I can’t compare the writing styles but it was very entertaining. Sometimes I wished it was a little shorter and closer to the resolution but that was a minor issue.
Liked it!

This is a fun mash-up of Sherlock Holmes and vampires, together with some Lovecraft thrown in
If you like the sillier side of vampire fiction and aren't bugged by historical inaccuracies, you'll love it! I tend to prefer darker vampire fiction and study both Sherlock Holmes and the Victorian period as a whole, so unfortunately it wasn't for me. This book was not researched very well at all.

I absolutely hated how all of the characters from Dracula were treated. I was expecting Dracula to be the villain, but the opposite was true. When it was revealed who was behind the scheme it was all very uninspired. Felt like a series of loosely connected stories with a very abrupt ending. Wasn't a fan of this.
