Anyone else remember the (admittedly) pretty bananas Disney Channel movies from the early ‘00s? This book really captured those vibes
Spoiler!!
It could be better, the plot has a lot of potential to be really great but I would have liked more detail on each individuals powers as well as their background. Like the 3 or 4 fae boys. Why were they so hell bent on getting the tapestry? And the cousin is just mentioned in passing? It’s just a lot of open ended questions would have liked more answers.

Truly proud of myself for finishing this when all I wanted was to stop
The plot is fine, I just wasn’t a fan of the writing style

Way too much going on, couldn't keep up. Plot twist between Clementine and Jude was uncalled for. Had so much potential and was ruined by way too many characters and so much going on.

I think I would like this book a lot more if it were half the length that it is. As it was, things felt repetitive and LONG. I felt like I was just watching the same things happen with slight variations. Things never went right. Everything stemmed from stupid teenagers having done something dumb and a sudden reveal at the end. Let's not forget the fact we have teenagers just murdering each other left and right at one point, or at least attempting murder. And you don't want to care about these characters because they just keep dying without any real impact. Like, death happens, they move on, maybe a couple paragraphs of angst. And don't get me started on how stupid the "mating" thing is and how it's involved in the plot.
I don't know. I won't put this down to a 1 star because I did enjoy the nostalgic 2000s/early 2010s feel of the writing. But this felt like hours upon hours of listening just for it to all amount to nothing. I didn't care about any of the characters, the plot felt so pointless, and I'm just over here being happy I'm done
