I was so excited to get my book on release day and read it immediately - as a Texas girlie that grew up near Galveston, the idea of a fantasy set in my part of the country was super fun. I also have had plenty of experience with hurricanes 🌀 so all the storm descriptions really came to life for me. I fell into the story immediately and am fascinated by Calder Academy and all its secrets and am now really invested in the relationship between Clementine and Jude. I will look forward to future installments of this story - and now I need to go back into the author's backlist while I wait!

(This leans a little more horror than some paranormal romances. Just a warning if you need it. )

Woot. Another epic world and characters by Tracy. Super excited. At one point when I had quarter of a book left, I wanted to stop reading because the sequel will be a while—alas I had to finish reading cause this was good.

It's sad to say I didn't quite rate it a 4 or 5 star since I really enjoyed the Crave series. But just felt like something was off pretty much the whole time. I wasn't completely invested. Hoping I'll like the rest of the books that will be coming out in this series.
