It was a delightful expansion of the world, but the pacing felt a bit off. Will still be very excited for book two!!

Okay shooketh that this entire book happens over the course of like 2-3 days?! But I was curious how she was going to do an entirely different series in the same world and so far really enjoying it!!

Here's the thing about Tracy Wolff, you have to love the following:

Magic that makes no sense
Characters that, the very second the get named and have a personality, they're dead.
LOTS of pining.
Plot that only happens in the last 90 pages, but then gets forgotten.
So much death, like, how does a school function with this many people just straight up dying.

You just have to go along for the ride. It makes no sense, it's random, it's long, and yet, let's go Tracy, keep them coming.
