I really needed this one. With all the pain I am in I just needed a familiar set of characters to make me smile and feel lighter. Perfection has always been one of those novels for me. It taps into my insecurities and fears, which makes it #relatable but it also so hopeful and funny and I enjoy every read like it's the first.
I originally read Perfection a long time ago. It was one of these romances that just stuck with me, so when I needed a good pick-me-up I decided to re-read this one and maybe finally review it. Well, here goes nothing.
It occurs to me that the reason I love this book so much is because Zoe, and how she feels about herself, strikes a cord with me. It twists my insides to read her inner monologue and matter-of-fact reflection on her body image... because I feel like I'm listening to my own thoughts. My own darkest fears and insecurities. I thought maybe I dreamed how much I related to her but NOPE, still relatable af.
Out of all the heroines in the Neighbor from Hell series, she is my favorite because of this.
But the best part about this story? Zoe get's the guy. Trevor is an eye candy, and he knows it. He is arrogant, self important and douche-y, like all Bradfords before him... and like all of them, he has a good heart. A heart that's just waiting for the right woman to devote itself to. And the more he falls for Zoe (despite his insistent otherwise), the better person he becomes.

Of course, outside of the fantastic relationship and it's slow build, you have the usual hilarity that ensues whenever a Bradford (or heaven forbids, three) are on the scene. And as always, we are still baffled by the notion of how does a whole family gets banned for life from a restaurant!?
Perfection is in it's core a romantic comedy that will make you love a jerk and be happy about it, dangit!. Hollywood, I won't mind if you adapt this one into a RomCom. Just don't get me an anorectic actress to play Zoe, please...

Really needed to read some cutesy, fun romance so I decided to re-read this old favorite of mine.
I enjoyed it so much! I still love this characters, Zoe's character and insecurities still hit me in the gut, and the Bradfords are still delightful jerks!

Oh.Em.Gee. LOVED this book in the series! Trevor was the ice cream, cake, icing and a cherry on top in this book. I loved him from the beginning, all the way through the epilogue. The naughty scenes had me fanning the blush away on my face several times. Again, the Bradford ego and appetite is in abundance, but who cares when we get dirty and swoon worthy. Zoe was one lucky girl in this book. (And ladies…he likes himself some curves!)

Very funny! And I really connected with Zoe and her weight and body image issues. I laughed and cried my way through this one.

A didactic, gross-out romance. What a concept! Seriously, what's attractive about a man stealing food from an anorexic woman? You might struggle to find Trevor's one-track stomach and self-absorbed immaturity sexy. Then again, assholes seem to be the favored modern hero. Though, I personally prefer alpha assholes and Trevor is anything but alpha.
Puerile, insulting, but strangely insightful, this story touches on the sensitive topic of obesity. A message romance? Perhaps. It's executed lightly and the characters' hearts are in the right place, but it's difficult to move past Trevor's initial attitude that fat equals pathetic. He eventually pulls his brain from his ass, but the bitter smell lingers. It's as though sex with Zoe hypnotizes him Shallow-Hal style so that he never sees her fat again. As far as romances go though, it's charming, steamy, and happily ever after.

Like the first book. I really enjoyed this series even with both main guy characters been dick and having a really weird obsession with food that totally made me piss my knickers.
