I enjoyed this book a lot. Really felt like I got some closure on Tyson's story, and I also enjoyed the "murder mystery".

“If loving someone means you’d burn the world to protect them, then I love her. It was never supposed to be this way. Me and her. But it doesn’t matter why or how we got here. Not anymore.”

Throughout this read my brain was doing loops and whirls trying to figure out how the pieces connected. Each twist and turn had me absolutely confused and in awe at the same time. Which I’m starting to see is a continuing thing with me reading Tessier books 😂😂

And let me tell you, I had soda coming out of my nose at one point. Tyson Crawford can come ruin me any day!  Oh my fvck!ng god!! 🥵🤌🏻

This has definitely been my favorite of the L.O.R.D.S series so far!

For the first time, I can actually say that I liked the MMC, Tyson. Introducing him as a side character in the previous two books of the series was such a smart move; his familiarity made him significantly more enjoyable from the start, even though his methods weren't always the best. Subsequently, I much preferred this plot over the others. I also loved that we got more of a glimpse into the Spade Brothers for the later book in the series, Carnage.

i kinda was expecting more of this book than what it delivered in the end. i loved ty in the previous books and think the author did him a bit dirty in his own book, making him kind of a villain to lake. while i came to understand his intentions and reasons and knew he'd fall in love with lake, i didn't like the way he was treating her in the beginning. i also feel like lake was such a weak fmc, she only argued with him and few some tantrums a few times but came to believing to like being treated as his slut, she never seemed to question anything and it made me so mad. the plot, albeit only coming pretty late in the book, was nice and exciting to read and some things really were crazy. i think some stuff was predictable while other plot points surprised me a lot and i liked that. but i, again, have to argue that
I HATE THE PREGNANCY TROPE LIKE GURL CAN YOU NOT EVEN GO FOR ONE BOOK WITHOUT GETTING THE FMC PREGNANT WITHIN 2 SECONDS AFTER BEING WITH THE MMC.
. thanks for coming to my ted talk. anyway, i liked the book, but i still liked the first one of the series best and am not as big a tyson fan as i was in the first two books.

The first book in this series will always be my favorite, but this one was still much better than the one before it. One thing that I always have to remind myself before reading something from this series tho, is that the family dynamics are all kinds of fucked up. It’s like an erotic soap opera, and while it can be too much at times, I still loved it.

In Shantel Tessier's "The Sacrifice," readers are thrust into a shadowy world where power, secrets, and manipulation reign supreme. Set within the clandestine realm of Barrington College, the narrative unfolds within the enigmatic confines of The Lords, a covert society wielding influence over both the campus and the nation beyond.
At the heart of the story lies Ryat and his chosen Blakely.
Tessier expertly weaves a web of intrigue and suspense, drawing readers into a world where loyalty is currency and betrayal lurks around every corner. The tension is palpable as Ryat navigates the murky waters of power and control, his every move calculated to maintain the delicate balance of influence within The Lords.
The character of Ryat is a compelling study in contradictions, his charisma masking a darker, more manipulative nature. As he selects his chosen, readers are drawn deeper into his psyche, grappling with the moral ambiguity of his actions even as they are captivated by his magnetic presence.
