nothing too too groundbreaking but cl clark really manages to color in the league of legends lore here and make the world feel very lived in, along with a fun power grab/political clash plotline that is propelled along by a thoughtful rendering of a very memorable character. also as someone who's watched the show but knows nothing about in game lore, i appreciated the glances we got into history and backstory for ambessa and mel! it enriches my memories of the show in a way that i enjoyed.

it's just boring, sadly. don't think c.l. Clark is for me. she's a technically good writer but so far her plotting isn't great.

I love Ambessa's character from Arcane. I think this story was good, but I got a little lost at the end. There is also one element of the story I wish they would have addressed, but they didn't. Overall a good high fantasy read. Lots of political and familial intrigue. And I loved all of the cameos.
