the premise is super interesting but it takes a bit to kick off. i’m a lil hooked tho and am already v attached to the humans so i hope they all win/dont die but then again this is manga and they never listen

*started reading based on my bro’s rec

The stars are mostly for a creative idea.
Some of the panels of art were difficult to decipher, but the pacing was decent. Definitely a nice twist on the ancient lore of gods. Interesting that so much of the tale stems from Norse lore. Also, an intriguing plot twist. Yet, it was required to give a balance to the manipulation. (Trying to avoid spoilers.)
Not a fan of Zeus, and want to know when Odin is gonna do more. Cliche and sexist depiction of Venus was disappointing. Sadly, that's manga. I do like this version of Mjolnir though. Never seen that done before.

So engrossing, this is an absolutely divine (heh) concept - the clash between mythology and human history, the mightiest gods and most memorable figures in history. Both the gods and humans come from different cultures, so it's a really interesting mix (even if it's mostly European and Asian, seemingly missing out on the great Aztec and African mythologies). There's great humour, absolutely epic fight scenes (duh), and great twists during them. Also love the research that goes into the characters, like referencing the prose Edda, Chinese history, and more. Loved it!

HOT

My husband really enjoyed this so I thought I'd give it a go. The art is good but I was confused on some pages because there was so much action going on, I couldn't see it properly. The story is interesting enough, not a lot of thought provoking moments, but it is a good time reading experience
