Book 3 in the rewritten Darkblade series is huge, and I love it! So much happens in this book as the Hunter faces demons and does everything he can to protect Hailen. There’s tons of action and the fight scenes are so vivid it’s like watching them in real life, but where the story shines even more is in the emotional moments. For a seemingly bloodthirsty assassin, the Hunter is remarkably human and a better person than many. As always I enjoyed Peloquin’s writing style and the amount of detail he puts into his work. There is so much depth in the world and it’s history which makes it a joy to read. This is not a book I wanted to put down. If you like dark fantasy, read this series!

I received an ARC from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.
