Very likable protagonist and surprising outcome. There were times when the number of characters became a bit confusing. I know they were thrown in, sometimes, as red herrings. But overall, good YA mystery.

I am disappointed. :/ First of all, it was really slow paced imo. So even when the realisation hit, I didn't feel any shocking emotion. Everything was processing so slowly. Also, in these kinds of books, I want a friendship that makes me smile. But both Jen's and Monica's Pov was just her trying to get away from them.
Also, I do not believe that the deaths of 5 cheerleaders in less than a month are just a coincidence. I wanted them to be related so the plot twist could be more shocking, maybe???
And....well, my opinion on Ethan changed drastically throughout the book. And, I feel so bad for him.

I loved this book!
The beginning made me think that this would be a romcon mystery book with her having an affair with an older college boy, but that was only the first chapter. After that chapter, you are lead into the main mystery of it. Monica, the main character, leads through many potential suspects. It is also very intricate the web that leads to all the deaths of the cheerleaders. Noting was cut and dry or black in white and I loved it.

My eyes did nothing to deserve the torture i got from reading this book.
Had me hooked from the start!!! Really enjoyed this one
Definitely got goosebumps reading this! The ending and truth is not what you think it is

I am not at all disappointed that this was my 100th book this year.
Let me just start by saying that Monica needs therapy for so many reasons I can’t even count.
Basically…
We are living life after an eerie sequence of seemingly unrelated events that leaves five cheerleaders dead.
First there was the car accident – two girls dead after hitting a tree on a rainy night. Then the murders happened – two girls were killed by the man next door. The police shot him, so no one will ever know why he did it. Monica's sister was the last cheerleader to die. After her suicide, Sunnybrook High disbanded the cheer squad. No one wanted to be reminded of the girls they'd lost.
That was five years ago. Now the faculty and students at Sunnybrook High want to remember the lost cheerleaders. But for Monica, it's not that easy. After she discovers the letters in her stepdad's desk, unearths an ancient phone, and meets a strange new friend at school, Monica can't just move on.
There are no more cheerleaders in Sunnybrook, but that doesn't mean anyone else is safe.
