A nice, easy, well-paced read.
I do not read a lot of thriller, therefore my rating is the one of someone just starting in this genre.
However good the story was, it was not increadible, and I doubt I will remember it in a few weeks.
I also would have liked more development on Monica and her mother relationship. The really first sentence of the book being : "This house was made for someone without a soul. So I guess it makes sense that my mother wanted it so badly". I was dumbfounded how harsh this sentence is. And although you can guess why Monica is so angry with her mother, the first explanation arrive after 200 pages in.

I love how this author always makes her book feel dark- not just when writing about murder and crimes, but when simply having the character narrate their day to day life. I think the ending was really interesting. I loved the little clue the author gave us.
It was good, I saw one of the endings coming but I still gasped when all the details played out, and the other ending was a twist. I wanted to keep reading which does not happen often for me. Great book!

This was a buddie read for me and maybe that made me like it more but I don’t think so. I really enjoyed this book, I didn’t see the second twist coming but the first twist was kinda apart of my theories. Still, I liked the characters and it was a fast paced, quick read
